It’s time for the inaugural 2015 Writers and Words reading!
We’ve changed our location to Charmington’s on Howard Street and our time to 7:00 PM. New year, new Writers & Words. Join us for a night of poetry, fiction and non-fiction readings, featuring the best and brightest of up-and-coming writers:
Tracy Dimond co-curates Ink Press Productions. She is the author of Grind My Bones Into Glitter, Then Swim Through The Shimmer (NAP 2014) and Sorry I Wrote So Many Sad Poems Today (Ink Press 2013). Her poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in Shabby Doll House, glitterMOB, apt, Coconut, Sink Review, Hologram, and other places. She hopes you never feel embarrassed about your favorite things.
Dewey Fox is a poet and journalist who lives in Baltimore. More than anything he wants to uncover the unified theory of art, baseball, and ghosts. He’s getting close.
Niall Sweeney hails from Ireland, “land of saints and scholars”. Being neither a saint nor a scholar, Niall moved to America in the eighties. Over the last five years Niall’s writing habit has come out of remission and he writes about life on both sides of the Atlantic. He took up triathlon racing a few years ago and it frequently intrudes on his writing. He’s a member of Hampden writers group
Lucia A Treasure is a Baltimore girl, performer and professional pigeon chaser. She is a member of the Annex Theater company, the co-founder of Hole In The Wall Cabaret, and her original performance work has been presented at Theatre Project, An Die Musik, the Holy Underground and E.M.P. Collective in Baltimore, and Performance Space 122 in New York, where she also had the privilege of being mentored by the great performance artist Penny Arcade. Her current work explores the conversation we conduct between our child and adult selves. She would like to inquire about your first memory.
Come to Charmington’s (2601 N Howard St), Baltimore, MD 21211) at 7:00 pm on January 13. We’ll dazzle you!
